Acharya Visits

We wish to thank Acharya Fleet Maull for his visit to Northern California. He led several programs in Davis, Berkeley, Silicon Valley and San Francisco.
Acharya Fleet Maull was a close student and traveling assistant to the Vidyadhara Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. Currently, as a senior teacher in Shambhala and personal representative of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, Acharya Maull teaches and leads retreats for the Shambhala community throughout North America, Europe and Latin American. He is also a renowned social activist and teacher of socially engaged Buddhism who founded Prison Dharma Network, National Prison Hospice Association, and the Center for Contemplative End of Life Care at Naropa University and co-founded Peacemaker Institute, the Rwanda Bearing Witness Retreat and the Upaya Institute Buddhist Chaplaincy Program. He is also a Sensei (fully empowered Zen teacher), Dharma successor of Roshi Bernie Glassman and senior priest in the Soto Zen and Zen Peacemaker lineages.
As a peacemaker and activist he leads bearing witness retreats, street retreats, prison programs and peacemaker trainings throughout the world. Acharya Maull is also a management consultant, executive coach and corporate trainer who specializes in mindfulness-based leadership, teamwork and communications training. He is the author of Dharma In Hell: The Prison Writings of Fleet Maull and numerous book chapters and articles in the end of life care and prison mindfulness fields.
